Why should I hire an interior designer?

An educated interior designer has the skills to not only provide stylish decor, but to create strategic plans for a specific space. This can include consultation in reconfiguring an existing interior, adding square footage to a home, and the development of lighting and electrical plans.

How do we get started?

Typically, our introductory communication is a brief phone conversation to determine if collaboration is in the best interest of both parties. After filling out a style questionnaire, we’ll schedule an initial in-home consultation to gauge the scope of the project, as well as finalize the details of the design agreement.

How do you charge for your services?

Paragon Design Firm maintains industry competitive design fees, billed at either our designers’ hourly rate or as a single flat fee. Hourly billing means you are charged an hourly fee for the time it takes to complete your project. A Flat Fee arrangement means you are billed one flat fee for the design, execution, and completion of the job.

Is any project too small?

Traditionally, a 20-hour minimum is required for any client’s first design project.

Am I expected to find my own contractors?

We maintain excellent relationships with some of the industry’s most talented professionals and are able to offer services for any interior design project. If you prefer to work with your own contractors, we are also open to collaborating with new friends as well!

How often should I expect communication with you?

Weekly check-ins can be expected in order to provide status updates on your project, or to schedule appointments as needed through-out the process

What is a “Selections Meeting”?

When you come to Paragon Design Firm you will be selecting all the finishes either for your New Home or Home Renovation. See complete list of selections to be made below.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Inspiration Photos, Plans, Current Home Photos, Budget and Yourself (We’ll Supply the Coffee 😊)

What all will I need to select?

You will be selecting everything needed to complete your personal project. Exterior, Flooring, Countertops, and Cabinets just to name a few.

What if I have special product that I want to use?

You are welcome to use anything that your builder allows. If you are not working with Builder, Paragon Design Firm does not limit the materials or products you can use.  If you have any special requests for samples or selections, please let us know at least 72 Hours before the appointment day.

Can I come browse the showroom before my appointment?

We are By Appointment Only. You are welcome to book an appointment anytime at our regular hourly rate. Please understand that we always want to give our clients the time and attention they deserve so appointments are necessary. We also run tight schedules and ask that if you should arrive early to please be seated in our “Relaxation Area” and enjoy a beverage and our beautiful aquarium!

Do you have food?

We do provide coffee, cold beverages and snacks. If you are in a lengthy meeting or missed a meal we also have Door Dash in our area and you are welcome to order food and have it delivered.

Can I Bring my own Designer?

Yes (But not Recommended) Your builder or yourself has hired Paragon Design Firm’s Interior Designers to assist you with all your design needs. We are highly trained designers and know your builder’s processes. There is also a time frame in which you are allotted to make your selections and any additional time used will be billed directly to you.  We recommend that if you feel it is necessary to bring your own designer we ask that they not be brought in on the first initial meeting. This meeting is crucial in getting your home started and for our relationship to begin with the client. The less distractions, the better for your time and wallet.
